In a time when images can be generated in an instant, Hand Drawn Lines stands as a quiet act of resistance and a celebration. This exhibition brings together work by illustrators represented by Belfast-based agency UsFolk, showcasing the richness, depth, and individuality that can only come from the human hand and challenging the notion that commercial illustrators are less valuable than fine artists.

Every line in this exhibition was made by a person—with purpose, with feeling, and with skill. These are not machine-made images, but expressions of imagination, lived experience, and artistic intent. They are the result of collaboration, trust, and the messy, joyful process of making something from nothing.

Hand Drawn Lines champions the illustrators who put themselves into their work—whose lines carry thought, humour, critique, beauty, and emotion. At a moment when creativity risks being flattened by automation, this exhibition reaffirms the value of working with real people, and the unique stories they tell through illustration.
